The Adobe Learning Manager release 81 brought some new and exciting updates and additions. The update includes a non-logged in experience you can share with prospective leaners and many enhancements to the Training Overview page to create a branded rich experience for Learners. The biggest part of the update is customization of the Fluidic Player. You now have control over nine parameters within the player including Playback Control, Fullscreen mode, and speed. The “test out” module now has its own tab, you can choose an author for a course, and you can impersonate a user in the system all in this new release.

Adobe makes great strides to improve their platform with each update and release. In this latest one Adobe focused on performance and the end user experience.

Now when a user is experiencing poor network quality, Adobe Connect will detect this on the users end and prompt them to pause incoming camera. Providing a better overall experience for their session.

Also, with this update have come a host of new BETA features for the platform. These include a new Enhanced Noise Suppression feature, which allows the host to diminish the amount of background noise that might be distracting from your classroom or meeting. This is currently only enabled for Enhanced Audio/Voice Experience rooms and is disabled by default.

Another feature that has been added in the BETA that I know has been requested for a while is Sharing System Audio While Screen Sharing. This beta feature is only available for Enhanced Audio/Video Experience enabled rooms but will allow the host to share system audio from their machine while they screen share. As of right now this is only available of Windows desktop applications, iOS and other systems will be updated in a later release.

And one of the final features they added in this update is the new prompt that will display when someone tries to talk while muted. Speaking While Muted Prompt will show up to a user if they are muted within the system but trying to talk, allowing them to unmute themselves so users don’t miss any important information from their meeting.

Adobe Connect has a new Higher Security Managed Service offering from CoSo Cloud (IL4) available to deploy today!

This currently runs on Adobe Connect version 11.4.5 and CoSo Cloud will manage the upgrade process to Adobe Connect 12 once it has been given the rigorous government process approval.
