With each new update, Adobe is setting themselves apart as an industry standard when it comes with Virtual Meetings and Virtual Classrooms. With this latest update of Adobe Connect 12.6, Adobe has made enhancements across the board, starting with a Virtual Green Room. This is a dedicated space for Host and Presenter where they can connect and talk live, test cameras and audio without the disturbing the live audience. No longer will you need to block you attendees from coming into a session early as now they can still see the active layout but will not hear the Presenters until the broadcast is started.

They next major update comes in the form of two new features to the New Native Quiz Pod, Short Answers Questions and Quiz Question Import/Exports. The Short Answer question type will have no answer pool but allow the attendee to write in their open-ended response. This will not be evaluated live in the room, but the reports and answers will be tracked in Adobe Connect Central for review and download. And with Import and Export of Quiz Pod Questions you can now rapidly build quizzes in your room with a simple upload. You will find the controls to import quiz questions at the bottom of your updated Quiz Pod.

Enhancements have also been made to the Recordings and AI generated captions of the meeting. Now in your recordings, you will have a Diarized Transcript on the right-hand side giving a breakdown of the captions, time codes and speakers names, making it easier to get a summary of a meeting at a quick glance. The transcript and captions can also be edited; this feature is currently in BETA. Continuing the theme of captions, Adobe is now offering accessibly even in break out rooms. Each of your break outs can now be captioned using the AI Generated captions. To note, since breakouts are not captured in recordings these captions will not be available in the recordings.

A few final features Adobe added within this update related to Recording Playback Speed and the Engagement Dashboard. With Recordings, you can now adjust the speed playback either slowdown a recording, or speeding it up to 2x the speed, allowing you to finish meetings and trainings in half the time. And the Engagement Dashboard, originally this would measure the engagement of all attendees in the room, but if you had multiple guest speakers or presenters, this could skew the data in a negative trending way, now Hosts can adjust the setting to only measure the engagement of Participants of the meeting.

Adobe Learning Manager has a new update! There are a number of smaller items in this release, but we are going to focus on the bigger ones in this webinar. You have been able to add checklists to courses as a module for some time, but those checklists have been fixed and once they are completed, they cannot be reset. Now, with this release, you can reset the checklist at any point for the Learner. This is done through the Managers role or the Administrators role. There is also a new addition to the Learning Plan. You can now add a trigger for a failure of a module within a course. This allows an extra level or branching you can add to your system. Creating locations for Instructor Led Training (ILT) could only be done through the Administrator role. Now, the Author role will allow you to create, edit, and delete those rooms in the list as well.
