Adobe Captivate Prime will have a name change coming later this summer. It will still be the same world class, cloud-based hub for all your training needs, but will called Adobe Learning Manager. All the current functionality will be the same and there will be additional functionalities added in Adobe Learning Manager. As a customer, your URL will change when this update takes place, but your current URL will continue to work for the next year. You can continue to access your platform without any additional steps.

An action is required on your part ONLY if:

You have configured your Captivate Prime account for SSO authentication AND have also configured this authentication to explicitly check and validate the current Captivate Prime access URL.
You have configured some sort of “whitelisting” functionality on your learners’ devices, which explicitly allows access to the current Captivate Prime access URLs.

If you fall under either of the above two categories, the action required is to include “learningmanager.adobe.com,” “learningmanagereu.adobe.com,” and “learningmanagergov.adobe.com” in the pre-requisite SSO check or the “whitelist” as valid domains.

The changes to the name will change in branding within the instance and the app. We will keep you updated as more information is available on this change.

Back in January, Adobe rolled out a limited beta for the new Immersive A/V experience with Meeting, Training and Seminar Rooms.

This offered new features and enhances such as

Full 1080p Webcam resolution, along with a new focus view for active speaker and pagination support if more than 20 webcams join a session.
Server Based MP4 meeting recordings, allowing users to directly download recordings as MP4 without having to do a desktop conversion beforehand.
And the ability to screen share directly from your browser without needed to do any additional installs, making collaboration easier than ever with users in more restrictive environments.

This beta has now been fully rolled out to all customer with a hosted Adobe Connect accounts. Adobe Connect 11.4 Getting Started Series

Envolvemedia is hosting a recurring class on Adobe Connect 11.4. This training webinar will review enhancements released in Connect 11.4, basic skills needed to create a room and how to design the room once it is set up. We’ll also discuss commonly used pods and tasks that you will need to perform to provide a seamless experience for your participants, while managing presenters behind the scenes.
