Adobe Captivate Prime not only got a facelift, it has some new and enhanced features!

Adobe Captivate Prime is now Adobe Learning Manager. It is still the same core system, but there were updates and additions that happened at the same time as the name change. Some of the notable changes are:

Support for Multi-Managers

You can now manage multiple user groups as a Manager and this is made possible by Active Fields that can store multiple values. As those fields are checked off, you will see those fields show up in your Manager dashboard as an option and can separate information by those groups.

Recommendations based on areas of interest

Administrators can now switch between a single area on the Learners dashboard that shows courses based on areas of interest or multiple areas of interest. There can be up to five strips, with each strip showing a particular area of interest.

Optional Skill points in a course

You can now choose ‘maximum credits’ as an option when adding a skill to a course. This will prefill the credits for that course with the maximum number of credits set up by the Administrator when the skill was created. You can still manually add credits if you choose.

Notifications for Replies on a social post

With Social Learning being a big part of the Adobe Learning Manager features, some more attention has been given to this area. Now, when a post a Learner has made has a reply on it, the Learner will get a notification in their in-box that there was a post.

Preview of a Module

Modules can now have certain modules marked as a Learner Preview. With this update, you can tie in Adobe Commerce, so this feature can be used to allow a Learner to preview one or more modules before purchasing.

With the latest update to Adobe Connect 12 you can expect improvements to the overall user experience for hosts and participants. The Adobe Connect team has completely overhauled the audio and video elements to the Adobe Connect room updating it to modern cloud architecture. Supporting High-quality audio and Full HD 1080p video streams in the webcam pod along with a New Single Speaker View, your users will have an easier time following the active speaker during your sessions. With the New Instant MP4 Recordings you can download and share your recorded sessions the moment you close out your Connect room and no longer have to download them in real-time.

The way you and your attendees interact with the room has changed as well, the new entry UI allows you to connect and test both your microphone and webcam prior to entering your Connect session. Making it easier than ever to get connected with your meetings and trainings. This UI change carries over to the meeting room as well, now including your webcam preview and available webcams within the drop-down menu at the top of your Adobe Connect room.

The new cloud architecture allows users a feature that was previously not available in Adobe Connect and that is the ability to share your desktop screen directly from the browser with no additional downloads required. This makes sharing information in an Adobe Connect room easier than ever and now extends the ability to devices you would normally not be able to share your screen from like Chromebooks and Linux machines.
